Systems can be mounted on all types of TBM design and manufacture, hard / soft rock, where a line of sight exists along the backup / sledge to the shield or cutter-head for a laser or reflector based reference. Similarly, for all diameters of TBM, from the largest to small-bore and pipe-jacking, where line of sight is present and space permits, either on-board with manned machines or remotely from the surface.
