Complete modularity means that you don't need to commit to a single system configuration at the outset. The ZED system evolves and adapts with your project.
The system configuration chosen for a particular project is dependent on a number of factors i.e. complexity of the designed alignment, ring build sequencing or interfacing with PLC’s and LAN’s, etc. However, with ZED’s modular design, systems originally obtained to suit one project may be upgraded or reconfigured to meet the demands of another. For software only features i.e. Correction Curve calculation & display, they can be activated remotely with ZED providing a numbered key or permission by phone or email. If additional hardware is also needed then it can be promptly despatched directly to site.
Downgrading as well as upgrading...
With the more complex systems, downgrading is also possible to meet simpler demands of a project or in the event of a problem which permits a fault to be bypassed allowing tunnelling to continue, but with the system operating in a more restricted mode.
Given the engineered aspects of reliability and robustness, ZED systems have a long operational life if properly maintained with regular servicing and refurbish between jobs, enabling costs to be spread over several projects.
The company offers full, after sales support, including training and installation on-site, worldwide, and responds promptly in the event of breakdown, supplying either spare parts or despatching an Engineer to the site in question. Currently, spare parts and direct service cover is available, locally, within the USA.
